Instant quoting software, compared.
Every tool a manufacturing shop might buy to put an instant price on its website, in four tiers by who it is built for. Published prices only, each linked to where we read it, and Quotometry in the same table on the same terms.

Five questions decide it.
- Does it price your processes on their own physics? Volume times a rate is wrong for powder, resin and anything machined.
- Can you read the price? A breakdown you can check is the difference between trusting a number and refunding one.
- Can you test a change before buyers see it? Rates change; a backtest shows what the change does to real quotes.
- What does the quota count? Parts priced, page views or orders: it decides what a busy month costs.
- Where does the order go? Your inbox, your cart, your ERP: and what happens if the webhook is down.
Choosing a quoting tool, answered.
What is the best instant quoting software for a small 3D printing business?
For a small FDM farm, any of the self-serve widgets will produce a price; the difference is what happens after. Look for a price breakdown you can check, a way to test a price change before buyers see it, and a quota that counts parts priced rather than page views. If you also run SLS, MJF or resin, check that each is priced on its own physics.
Which instant quoting tools handle CNC machining?
Among the products here, DigiFabster, AMFG and Paperless Parts quote CNC today; Paperless Parts is built around the estimator. Quotometry prices CNC milling and turning too: instantly from a STEP model, and as an estimate the shop reviews from a mesh. It does not read drawings or GD&T.
Do these tools take payment from the buyer?
Several do: AutoQuote3D and Quot3D take card payments, and DigiFabster and AMFG include checkout. Quotometry passes quotes to a WooCommerce cart through its plugin, and its Shopify app, not yet run against a real store, turns one into a draft order; payment inside its own widget is planned.
How were these prices checked?
Each price is the vendor’s own published list price, read on 2026-10-22 from the page linked in its row. Where a vendor does not publish a price, the table says so. Prices change; check the vendor’s page before you buy.
